ESPELKAMP - Espelkamp -Sept. 13 2024 - Another reason to celebrate at the HARTING Technology Group: while CEO Philip Harting turned 50 a few days ago, senior partner Dietmar Harting is celebrating his 85 th birthday this weekend on Sunday, Sept. 15. Two milestones for two generations that have shaped the family business into a leading global player in connectivity technology. Dietmar Harting, affectionately known in the industry as “Mr.
Standardization," took over the helm of the company in 1967 and led it into new dimensions with vision and a spirit of innovation. Under his leadership, HARTING grew from a local company to a global market leader. His commitment to standardization and uniform standards not only earned him the nickname, but also numerous awards–including the DIN Ring of Honour, the DKE Pin in Gold, an honorary doctorate from Leibniz University Hanover and, in addition to the Lower Saxony Cross of Merit 1 st Class, the Federal Cross of Merit 1 st Class. In 2009, Dietmar Harting was made an honorary citizen of the town of Espelkamp for his wide-ranging commitment in the areas of social affairs, sports and society.
“I am grateful and proud of the past, of what we have achieved together with my family, and I still look forward to the future with curiosity,” said Dietmar Harting.
