February 8, 2012 - CONTA-CLIP introduces GSM-PRO I/O module that emails problems, GSM-PRO I/O module provides a remote control and maintenance solution that can signal changes at the inputs and outputs through text messages and emails. Emails prompted by predefined states allow for a better overview and an easy sorting of messages, especially in large facilities where alarm signals and status reports from various peripheral units are centrally monitored.
The module’s eight inputs can be configured for digital (24 V DC) or analog (0...10 V) signals as required. The module features four changeover relay out-puts which can also be controlled via SMS.
Due to the flexible voltage range of 10...30 V DC, the I/O module is also suited for mobile applications, e.g. in the transport sector.
In case of a power failure, an integrated capacitor supplies sufficient power for sending up to five alarm SMS.
Requiring no programming skills, the software included in delivery enables quick and easy configuration of the GSM-PRO. The parameters can be set online via the GSM network even after installation and activation of the module. A completed configuration can be exported to other modules, thereby minimizing the set-up effort in series applications.
The I/O statuses can be accessed via SMS or email at any time. Additionally, up to ten persons can be selected for notification about predefined statuses, e.g. when the input value exceeds or falls below a set value. Phone numbers and email addresses can be saved in an integrated address book.
Different status changes and SMS contents can be assigned to different recipients. Optionally, CONTA-CLIP also offers an external antenna with a 2.5 m cable for installation outside the control cabinet.
