Rockwell Automation’s MES and ERP solutions will help the beverage manufacturer connect production data and enable reliable, on-premises execution to support future growth.

Sept. 4, 2026 — Rockwell Automation, Inc., the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, announced that Custom Beverage Concepts (CBC), the industry leader on new beverage trends, has selected Plex Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to gain real-time visibility and reporting while establishing a resilient foundation that can scale with growth and evolving production demands. CBC partnered with Rockwell’s Gold System Integrator Control+M Solutions to help with the rollout.

CBC experienced challenges common among other manufacturers after all, manufacturers across all industries are increasingly generating data, but only 43% are effectively leveraging those insights including gaps in data visibility, production efficiency tracking and customized reporting. The company sought a solution that could provide operators with real-time insight into production versus downtime while maintaining control as operations scale and systems become more connected. After evaluating several options, CBC selected Plex to not only increase production data visibility, but to also empower the beverage manufacturer with data-driven decision making.

“Our goal was to move away from disconnected systems and manual workarounds and toward a more streamlined, data-driven and resilient operation,” said Ty Cartwright, owner, Custom Beverage Concepts. “With Plex, we see a clear path to reducing redundant data entry and improving how information flows across the business. Control+M Solutions has also been a helpful partner, enabling us to move our information efficiently and implement quickly.” The CBC team demonstrated early commitment to addressing its challenges by completing the Plex Boot Camp program prior to project kickoff. This preparation enabled the project management team to accelerate the rollout and complete key implementation tasks more efficiently. The team also makes active use of the Plex Education Portal, building foundational knowledge ahead of implementation workshops. As a result, team members can engage more effectively, ask more targeted questions and understand core concepts earlier in the process.

“Custom Beverage Concepts has been deeply involved in designing their processes in Plex, and they’ve taken a proactive approach to learning,” said Ken Keller, director, process manufacturing division, Control+M Solutions. “That level of engagement, combined with their commitment to training, has already led to strong early process validation results.”

Rockwell Automation sees this deployment as a strong example of how manufacturers can modernize operations while preparing for growth.
“Plex is designed to help manufacturers start where they are and scale as their needs evolve,” said Michael Hart, head of industry strategy and growth, Rockwell Automation. “For Custom Beverage Concepts, that meant helping them build toward reliable, on-premises execution down to the machine level, improving real-time production insight today while creating a connected platform that supports future growth.”
