Board includes six members from exploration and production (E&P) and pipeline segments of the oil and gas industry.

November 20, 2008 – CygNet Software announced the formation of its Board of Customer Advisors (BoCA). Comprised of six initial members selected from exploration and production (E&P) and pipeline segments of the oil and gas industry, the board will play an important advisory role in CygNet’s product development process and solution design. CygNet customer advisors include: David Wray, field automation systems manager, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; Darin Molone, SCADA manager, Atlas Pipeline; Jason Offerman, SCADA / field automation manager, Chesapeake Energy Corporation; James E. Wahrenberger III, operations, drilling and SCADA supervisor, Devon Energy; Joseph Schmid, manager-SCADA, Energy Transfer Partners; and Tom Aubuchon, manager real time applications, Panhandle Energy.

“Data management is no longer just for field operations, but needs to be used to run the entire oil and gas enterprise,” said Wray, field automation systems manager of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and CygNet BoCA chairman. “CygNet has recognized the need for leveraging vast amounts of data across virtually all areas of the company, from operations to production engineering to marketing. I am honored to be a part of the customer advisory board and I am confident that the group will play a central role in delivering the next generation of oil and gas solutions for the enterprise.” The CygNet BoCA group will be led by Doug Rauenzahn, CygNet’s director of product management.

As part of CygNet’s continued attention to delivering on-target product solutions, BoCA members will serve as the pulse of the industry and voice of the customer community on their real-time operations, as well as business and product needs. “With a laser focus on meeting customers’ product needs both strategically and tactically, CygNet is committed to being the enterprise company of choice, both now and into the future,” said Chris Smith, president and CEO of CygNet Software. “Effective systems go far beyond serving as a tactical tool. Through our commitment to product development growth and the newly formed CygNet advisory board, we will continue to work with our entire customer base to deliver a trusted and strategic business solution.”
