Daintree Networks releases WA Wireless Lighting Adapters

17 April, 2012
WA Wireless Adapters add wireless connectivity and distributed control to lighting fixtures, sensors, wall switches and other wired products within buildings.

April 17, 2012 – Daintree Networks announced WA Wireless Adapters for wireless lighting controls within commercial and industrial buildings. The WA family offers powerful control options to fit a variety of fixture types, customer requirements and budgets. WA Wireless Adapters are low-cost, low-profile devices which add wireless connectivity and distributed control to lighting fixtures, sensors, wall switches and other wired products within buildings. Through a Wireless Adapter, most fixtures and other off-the-shelf products can easily add the ZigBee communications standard at either the point of manufacture or the customer site, and connect to Daintree’s centralized ControlScope software and other ZigBee-certified wireless products.

The WA product line includes adapters for both low-cost control of individual fixtures and multi-function control of complete circuits. Products include:

  • WA100 – offers complete wireless control (on/off/dim) for circuits of up to 10 fixtures or 15A, as well as individual fixtures, sensors and switches/dimmers, with plenum rating;
  • WA100-PM – adds integrated power monitoring;
  • WFA100 – offers complete wireless control with a reduced form factor and price point for in-fixture installation, up to 5A;
  • WFA100-SN – adds local sensor control; and
  • WGA100 – provides on/off switching and 0-10V control as well as reporting and monitoring of non-lighting devices such as motors, fans and thermostats.

In addition to meeting customer needs across industries, the WFA100 was built to address a growing demand from lighting fixture manufacturers to pre-install ZigBee functionality inside existing fixtures at the point of manufacture. With a streamlined form factor, the WFA100 fits seamlessly inside many commercial and industrial LED and fluorescent fixtures.
