July 24, 2013 - Datalogic introduces S8 Clear Detection Laser for detection of shiny objects on reflective backgrounds. This technology doesn’t require a prismatic reflector, mitigating mechanical and space limitation requirements. The stainless steel version can be applied in harsh and hygienic environments as a result of its IP69K degree of protection and resistance to the corrosive action of industrial detergents and disinfectants listed by Ecolab and Diversey. Combined with the LED version, recommended for transparent object detection, this sensor completes the S8 Clear Detection series and S8 family, offering a wide range of solutions for Food & Pharmaceutical, Beverage & Bottling, Packaging and material handling processing applications.
