June 26, 2012—DATAPAQ introduces SolarPaq temperature profiling system for monitoring photovoltaic (PV) module lamination with up to ten thermocouples. The ten-channel data logger enters the laminator along with the PV modules and thermocouples, ensuring excellent data quality without disturbing the vacuum process. This extended model directly answers manufacturing developments – as lamination machines get larger and the need to be 100% confident in the even cure of EVA films remains, the industry requires regular profiling runs with conclusive readings across the entire cross-section of the heating plate.
The thermal barrier, which protects the data logger against the harsh thermal and pressure environments, is mere 20 mm thick. The SolarPaq system includes a silicone rubber frame designed to minimize the stress on the transport frame and the membrane. Upon exiting the process, the data logger provides in-depth temperature profiles. It can be combined with radio telemetry technology for live data monitoring. Customers use this option to optimize their batch process set-up.
For data analysis, DATAPAQ provides the Solar Insight software, designed specifically for use within the photovoltaic industry. With wizards guiding the users step-by-step, no expert knowledge is required to quickly compile and analyze data and optimize production yields.
