May 23, 2014 - Deeter Electronics released an IECex / ATEX approved explosion proof version of its 80 Series float switch. Targeting the oil, chemical and petro-chem manufacturing industries, the switch features an all 316 L Stainless Steel body that can withstand chemically aggressive liquids. Mounted horizontally it was designed for high temperature, high pressure operation offering a cost effective solution where high reliability in a demanding environment is called for. The "explosion proof" 80 series float switch is available with three mounting options; an M16 internal mount ( shown ), a 3/4" NPT external mount and a 3/4" NPT external mount with a DIN plug. Custom designed versions will also be available.
