March 1, 2013 – DFI announces CD101-N Series Mini-ITX Industrial Motherboard, offering high efficiency with low-power consumption in its Intel Atom product line. The CD101-N Series is based on Intel Cedar Trail platform. These new dual core processors are built on Intel’s 32-nanometer process technology providing low-power consumption and yet higher clock frequencies and faster memory access than their predecessors that are built on 45-nanometer technology. For applications requiring a low-power solution with passive cooling, the CD101-N2600 uses the Intel Atom N2600 processor offering modest performance with 1.6GHz clock speed and has an integrated graphics controller clocked at 400MHz.

The CD101-N2550 and CD101-N2800 with Intel Atom D2550 and N2800 processors operate at 1.86GHz clock speed and 400MHz graphics frequency. All three processors equipped with the Intel NM10 Express Chipset provide DVI (DVI-D signal), VGA and LVDS graphics interfaces with dual-independent display capability. The CD101-N Series comes with 2 DDR3 1066MHz SODIMM sockets that support up to 4GB system memory (N2550/N2800) and 1 DDR3 800MHz SODIMM socket that supports up to 2GB system memory (N2600).

It is designed with I/O ports and connectors, including 4 serial ports, 2 Intel Gigabit LAN controllers, 2 serial ATA 2.0 ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 12-bit DIO connector, 7.1-channel High Definition audio interface. The expansion design of this platform supports 1 PCIe x1 slot and 1 half size and/or full size Mini PCIe slot for the various demands.

This Mini-ITX industrial motherboard is an ideal choice for customers’ applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as medical electronics, industrial control, security & surveillance, telecommunications, A, and POS.
