Overland Park, KS - November 7, 2007 - Data Systems International added embedded voice functionality to its dcLINK software to enable hands-free data collection. dcLINK VOICEActivator enables users to interact with dcLINK verbally using a standard, voice-enabled headset and microphone, leaving their hands and eyes free to perform tasks. Embedded voice functionality gives dcLINK clients greater flexibility to use the most appropriate data collection method - bar code, RFID, and voice - for their business needs without installing additional applications.

It supports speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) and is configurable at the device level. dcLINK VOICEActivator will be available as an add-in component for dcLINK 4.2.4 in the first quarter of 2008, and for dcLINK 5.02 in the second quarter.
DSI will demonstrate dcLINK VOICEActivator at Oracle OpenWorld, Booth #1714, Nov. 11-15, 2007.
