December 29, 2008 - Eclipse Technologies released updated vesions of its x and z purge systems. Each unit is packaged in a stainless steel enclosure and includes a display and easily accessible controls for flow measurement at very competitive pricing. The new version of Eclipse’s x-purge is designed to achieve hazardous area requirements for general-purpose enclosures and their internal electronics. The unit does so by continuously purging the enclosure with compressed air or nitrogen. The positive pressure in the enclosure ensures gas flow from inside to outside and eliminates the possibility of flammable gases re-entering the enclosure.
The user is able to easily view and adjust the gas flow on the front of the unit with the built in flow meter and valve. If the positive pressure in the enclosure is compromised, the x-purge will shut off the power to the unit. However, a manual override switch is available for convenience. The unit is constructed out of stainless steel, which offers the benefit of strength and corrosion resistance.
The x-purge is certified under NFPA Class 1, Division 1 and competitively priced at $2995.00.The new version of Eclipse’s z-purge is also designed to help general-purpose enclosures and their internal electronics meet hazardous area requirements. Like the x-purge, the unit does so by continuously purging the enclosure with compressed air or nitrogen. The positive pressure in the enclosure ensures gas flow from inside to outside and eliminates the possibility of flammable gases re-entering the enclosure.
The user is able to easily view and adjust the gas flow on the front of the unit with the built in flow meter and valve. An alarm output is activated if positive pressure in the enclosure is compromised. The unit is constructed out of stainless steel which offers the benefit and strength and corrosion resistance. The z-purge is certified under NFPA Class 1, Division 2 and competitively priced at $695.00.
