EGE announces amplifier for proximity sensors in hazardous areas
IKM 122 Ex-230 amplifier for inductive proximity switches conforms with current standards according to ATEX directive 94/9/EG.

March 26, 2013 - To connect inductive proximity switches for hazardous areas, EGE announces the IKM 122 Ex-230 amplifier that conforms with the current standards according to ATEX directive 94/9/EG.

Onlyy 22 mm wide, the device is suitable for space-saving installation on DIN rails. It is designed for use with EGE's intrinsically safe two-wire sensors for explosive gas and dust atmospheres.

The amplifier's functions include integrated cable break detection and short circuit monitoring. LEDs on the amplifier's front side indicate the operating status and alarm messages. Users can choose between a relay and a changeover contact switching output.
