September 4, 2018 - Tecnotion, long known as "The Linear Motor Company" entered the rotary torque motor market last year with a new design for torque motors.
Manufactured in volume, these Tecnotion Torque motors feature encapsulated windings and include two types of thermistors as standard features. Tecnotion offers motor sizes from 68mm to 160 mm diameters, to date, these motors will work with any servo drives.
Torque Motors from Tecnotion provide a drive train, and can be integrated directly into the machine structure, while the open inner diameter enables wire and cable feedthrough. The entire series comes with completely sealed stators and integrated temperature protection and measurement sensors.
With continuous torque ratings ranging from 0.27 Nm to 63.5 Nm and speed ranges from 190 rpm to 6918 rpm, these motors can play a role in different applications in industries like:
