(EST) (OTC: ELST), the manufacturer of the ESTeem product line of wireless modems, announces the debut of the Model 195E Wireless Ethernet Series products, introducing industrial grade 802.11a and 802.11g compatible unlicensed radios.
After revolutionizing the Industrial 802.11b market with the Model 192E, ESTeem is again setting the standard with the new Wireless Ethernet Series. The ESTeem195E series has Digi-Repeater and EtherStation features to allow seamless coverage of large indoor and outdoor areas.The ESTeem 195Ea is 802.11a compatible, offering 54 Mbps RF data rate operating in the 5 Ghz spectrum.
Utilizing an advanced, smaller industrial hardened case, the 195Ea can be field deployed and directly pole counted. With Power over Ethernet capability, expensive feedlines can be eliminated, reducing system cost and signal-loss.The ESTeem 195Eg is 802.11g compatible, offering 54 Mbps RF data rate operating in the 2.4 Ghz spectrum.
Sharing the new advanced case and innovative features, the 195Eg is backward compatible with current 802.11b products. This allows users to further expand their 802.11b networks with the capability of greater data throughput at needed locations. “The 195E series will allow increased usage in large geographical applications such as freshwater, wastewater, oil/gas, and utility sites, by providing increased Ethernet data rates to sites that historically use low speed narrow band and spread spectrum radios,” states Eric Marske, Industrial Automation Sales Manager.
“With the increased bandwidth available, other devices can be layered into a SCADA wireless LAN such as video monitoring and Voice over IP.”The Etherstation and Digi-Repeating allows multiple Ethernet Series 195E’s to expand traditional networks and roam seamlessly between Access Points over a large geographical area. “These features allow mobile applications such as open pit mining trucks to have true Ethernet data rate conductivity from their on-board hardware to a hardwired LAN”, states Sam Amaral, Latin American Sales Manager.The Model 195E will be debuted at the 2003 Automation Fair at the ESTeem booth.
