Elobau introduces 145NTG nano push-button
Tiny 145NTG can be incorporated in the knob of a joystick or a multifunctional handle for a shifter, or into a control panel.

June 9, 2009 - Elobau Sensor Technology introduces its 145NTG nano push button for various industrial applications. This new control is based on Reed switch technology and is 15.85mm height and 15mm diameter. It is designed to be incorporated in the knob of a joystick or a multifunctional handle for a shifter, or into a control panel. Typical applications might include vehicle uses such as control panel, armrest, shifter, single or dual axis joystick, or any control panel application on industrial equipment, remote control, mobile equipment, machine tools or other machinery.

The 145NTG has bicolor lighting, which enables “day and night” functions as required by many automotive industry applications. Similar to other Elobau push-buttons, the 145NTG has different standard colors available for the actuator cap, and can be customized to accommodate specific symbols. The 145NTG features reliable non-contact Reed switch technology. A magnet moves along a Reed element, located in the push-button housing.

The switching power is 5W/VA under 48V maximum switching voltage, with a maximum switching current of 0.3 Amps. The electrical connection is through 4 wires, with a standard length of 150mm.The non-contact Reed switch technology ensures a longer service life, guaranteed to 4 million switching operations. The 145NTG push-button operates in a range from -40ºC to +85ºC (-13ºF to +175ºF).

The robust rubber boot provides a IP67 protection class above the mounting panel. The push button is tested to DIN IEC 68 Part 2, and materials used have a high chemical resistance, allowing its utilization in extreme industry environments.
