Elobau introduces 165VL SS machine safety switches
165VL switches are enclosed in a highly polished stainless steel housing,for IP69K protection according to DIN EN 60529.

July 14, 2009 - The machine safety switches 165VL have an extremely robust design, they are enclosed in a highly polished stainless steel housing, and are fully potted. The Reed switch technology ensures an extremely long life time and a high reliability. These products can be used in severe environments with temperatures ranging from -25ºC to +80ºC. They fulfill the very demanding requirements of the IP69K protection category according to DIN EN 60529.

They can be pressure washed, making them highly suitable for applications such as food processing machines, pharmaceutical equipment, industrial washing machines, and other severe applications.The coded magnets are available as standard versions, or as strong magnet versions. The strong magnet versions ensure an operating distance of up to 7 mm. The switches are available in several configurations, with 2 normally open contacts, or 1 normally open and 1 normally close contact. The 2 normally open contacts version is available in 3 or 4 wire configurations.

The connecting cable has UL and FDA approvals.Elobau also offers a complete range of 25 Control Units (also called “Safety Relays”) which are certified according to the new Machine Directive EN ISO 13849-1, coming into effect as of December 30, 2009
