The 905U-E is an ideal solution for Ethernet connections in process control and automation applications - PLC’s, DCS, SCADA, data acquisition, wireless video … the 905U-E can handle multiple applications simultaneously.Each module can be configured as an access point, client / station, bridge and router. This offers real flexibility when faced with a demanding installation whilst making full use of ELPRO’s proven Industrial Strength 900MHz FHSS technology with high immunity to interference.
Furthermore, the new module, operating at 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, is able to transfer wireless data up to 230Kbits/sec. Long and short range applications. The ELPRO 905U-E has a range of up to 60 miles* outdoors, license-free.
A store & forward repeater functionality increases the wireless range even further*.If installed internally, the ELPRO 905U-E offers impressive penetration in congested industrial environments also - over 3000 feet* through buildings, factory walls and steelwork.The inbuilt security features of the ELPRO 905U-E feature multiple layers of error-detection and correction. In the advent of a wireless link failure, the unit is designed to automatically changeover to another Access Point ensuring secure data transmission continues. The unit also has military-grade AES security encryption of wireless data further enhancing its capabilities.
Firewall protection is provided via a secure Firewall protection message filtering at MAC address level.The new ELPRO 905U-E has two serial interfaces, RS232 and RS485 and a discrete channel for status I/O, for failure status or external status transfer.The ELPRO 905U-E offers easy configuration and diagnostics via the web-browser and remote configuration and diagnostics via the wireless link.* Dependent on installation situation.
