Version 2.5 of its AMS Suite: Asset Portal software expands asset management capabilities. It allows users to customize enterprise-wide asset information, including filtering and reporting alerts, polling on demand, and viewing graphical asset health reports.

AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 12, 2007) - Emerson Process Management has announced Version 2.5 of its AMS Suite: Asset Portal software, which expands asset management capabilities. AMS Asset Portal Version 2.5 allows users to customize enterprise-wide asset information, including filtering and reporting alerts, polling on demand, and viewing graphical asset health reports.AMS Asset Portal is a web-based tool that allows users to capture asset information from a wide range of internal sources and customize how they use that data.

Maintenance management personnel can obtain timely information to quickly identify critical equipment that is not performing and can predict unexpected failures or off-spec product in time to take corrective action. AMS Asset Portal, a core component of Emerson's PlantWeb digital plant architecture, consolidates field-generated data into a single meaningful view. With the new version, users can:

  • View a quick snapshot of the health of predefined areas within a plant(s) with the Plant Health Home Page
  • Summarize the health of assets in a graphical format with the new Asset Health Dashboard Report
  • Save and filter information that is important to them
  • Export asset data to reporting tools such as Excel to create problem asset reports
  • Poll data sources on demand instead of on a timed basis to get the most current information about assetsWith these new enhancements, users have greater access to information about asset performance and can use this information to make informed decisions that will impact their bottom line.AMS Asset Portal accumulates diagnostic information from Emerson's AMS Suite family of diagnostic software applications and also supports information from non-Emerson asset management systems, underscoring Emerson's commitment to openness and integration of plant assets.

Emerson's PlantWeb Services help customers realize the full potential of their technology investment.

PlantWeb Services engineers will INSTALL, IMPLEMENT, and INCORPORATE a customer's AMS Suite applications, including prioritization of key assets that can be monitored in AMS Asset Portal to increase the overall effectiveness of a maintenance program.
