Enhancements in version 3.03 allow the software to be installed and operated on a server within the company's network, or on a laptop without the need for a permanent Internet connection.

April 7, 2011 - Endress+Hauser enhances W@M Enterprise software. In version 3.03, improvements have been made in the area of automatic provision of information. The software can now be installed and operated on a server within the company's network, on a workstation or laptop without the need for a permanent Internet connection. All asset information, relating to the E,I&C components managed within the software, is now stored locally in the centralized database and can thus be called up by maintenance staff via a Web browser.

The software and components contained in the databases are updated via an encrypted Internet connection to the Endress+Hauser portal server. This keeps manual data administration by staff to a minimum and saves on valu-able time. Alternatively, updates can be installed on site at any time using data processing media. W@M Enterprise software helps users to plan, carry out and document maintenance tasks in all areas of process engineering plants. The easy Web-based access to information and documentation relating to measuring and control technology within a company's entire network, the automatic provision of data and update of master data and the intuitive user interface all increase the efficiency of maintenance processes.

The integrated task scheduler helps users in planning, carrying out and do-cumenting all maintenance activities. Integrated analysis functions help when performing daily tasks, from planning measures in the entire area of E,I&C technology to the storage of required spare parts.

W@M Enterprise is open, non-proprietary software for documenting all E,I&C components. The automatic provision of information ensures that data administration is kept to a minimum for Endress+Hauser products. Master data, documentation and spare parts lists are automatically available and can be processed and amended at all times. Furthermore, maintenance staff can view information on the site at a glance. W@M Enterprise also supports preventive maintenance by means of integrated Key Performance Indicators.

The risk of maintenance on each component and the extent to which the component is critical to the process can be displayed and analyzed at the push of a button. It is easy to connect to existing maintenance data-bases and systems thanks to the database architecture, which is based on standards and includes import and export functions. W@M Enterprise provides users with a non-proprietary, open and intelligent solution for maintenance. Staff will enjoy a noticeable reduction in administration and can focus on essential duties. This ensures optimum plant operation.
