To address this upcoming requirement in Industrial applications, Ethernet Direct introduces an Industrial Managed PoE switch designed with 8 10/100TX + 2 10/100/1000T/ Mini-GBIC Combo w/ 8 PoE Injector. The CME-822 Industrial Managed PoE switch is compliant with IEEE 802.3af standard, the first managed 10-port density with SFP option and DIN Rail mountable with industrial grade robust housing protection.
The switch features PoE on ports 1 to 8, supporting IEEE 802.3af End-point, Alternative B mode and supplies up to 15.4 watts of power per port. CME-822 ensures interoperability among a growing number of proprietary methods of distributing DC power to network devices.PoE technology describes a system to transmit electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard twisted-pair cable in an Ethernet network.
With this technology, CME-822 provides cost effective deployment, increased mobility and simplified wiring for network connections.
