Extended Temperature IoT Gateway with Intel® BayTrail SoC Processor, Atom™ E3815/E3825 / Celeron® N2930
UbiQ-100 Series is a fanless IoT gateway integrating Intel® BayTrail Atom™ E3815/E3825 / Celeron® N2930 SoC Processor into a small footprint. Combining two GbE LAN ports and two mPCIe slots for wireless expansion, it enables flexible connections between edge devices and data center through the wired or wireless networks.

Supporting a variety of communications and Cloud protocols, Quanmax UbiQ-100 Series, Industrial-grade IoT Gateway based on Intel® Bay Trail SoC Processor, Atom™ E3815/E3825 / Celeron® N2930, implements stable and reliable connection functionality between front-end IoT devices and back-end Cloud servers. In the front-end level, it is able to communicate with sensors deployed in the front end and gather the data they collect through the sensor network based on built-in Modbus / CAN bus protocols or other wired / wireless protocols by request, such as EtherCAT, CANopen, Profibus, OPC DA, OPC HDA, OPC UA, 1-Wire, C-Bus, M-Bus, ZigBee, MOST, AFDX, and so on.

Thus, it is an ideal platform for many IoT-related applications, such as IoV (Internet of Vehicles), Smart Grid, Smart Factory or Smart Home, to bridge IoT devices to the Clouds.

On the other hand, from the view of the back-end level, UbiQ-100 Series supports a variety of Cloud protocols, including TR-069, MQTT, OMA-DM, XMPP, AIIS, OSGI and OIC. It can thus wirelessly transmit the data it gather to most of the Cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and Baidu. As for the wireless tunnel between the gateway and the Cloud, UbiQ-100 Series offers a wide range of protocol options as well on a by-request basic, such as WiFi, 3G, LTE, Bluetooth, RFID, ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, SubG, IEEE 802.15.4e, an so forth, depending on the applications that users work with.

Useful information will be extracted from those data after Big Data analysis processing in the Clouds as well as appropriate application software and then shared to corporate or individual users for more possible integrated applications. In a word, UbiQ-100 Series can play an important role to integrate and extend the application of both IoT and Cloud. The graphs below demonstrates two scenarios how UbiQ-100 Series works in the IoV and industrial control. In addition to the gateway itself,

Quanmax offers a total solution package based on following levels by request to help clients shape a complete IoT / Cloud ecosystem. Hardware Level (1) UbiQ-100 Series IoT Gateway; (2) RF module installed in the gateway depending on what kind of M2M sensor network is applicable; and (3) Sensors / nodes deployed in the sensor network. Software Level Management software pre-loaded in the gateway, such as (a) security management; (b) remote monitoring management; (c) wireless monitoring; (d) industry data collection & translation; (e) image / video management; or (f) digital signage management depending on the target application and functionality; Third-party Service Assistance (1) Cloud platform; and (2) Application Software.

In many applications, IoT gateways may be at risk to be exposed to harsh environmental conditions, for example, high in-car temperatures in electric vehicles and airborne particles on the factory floors. UbiQ-100 Series not only features fanless design but also offers extended temperature models. Thus, it can be installed under the harsh conditions without fear of damage to sensitive parts or components caused by dust intrusion, overheating or freezing.
