Field Communications Lounge at Hannover Messe

HART, FDT Group, Fieldbus Foundation, OPC and PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET) are co-sponsors of the Field Communication Lounge exhibit at Hannover Messe (8-12 April).

February 1, 2013 - The HART Communication Foundation, the FDT Group, Fieldbus Foundation, OPC Foundation and PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) are co-sponsors of the third annual Field Communication Lounge exhibit at Hannover Messe 2013 (8-12 April, Hannover, Germany), one of the world’s largest automation trade shows. Inside the Lounge, the five organizations and their members will exhibit their individual process and factory automation communication and integration technologies in a co-located demonstration and display area. The Field Communication Lounge will be in a new location – Hall 9, Stand D76.

The Field Communication Lounge creates a single exhibit area for visitors to learn about and experience the latest in field communication and integration technologies and discuss how these technologies are used to deliver powerful results that may quickly improve a company’s profitability. The co-sponsored exhibit provides a central place for fair visitors to discuss the leading automation communication protocols and integration technologies - their advantages, applications and relevance in practice.

Major automation companies will exhibit and present practical demonstrations of their respective communication and integration solutions including intelligent field devices, analog and digital communication protocols, configuration solutions, asset management applications, control applications, wireless technology, and integration technologies. All of the companies provide the products, solutions and services that truly demonstrate the value of using the available information from smart devices. Typical suppliers participating in the Lounge include: ABB, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, Honeywell, Invensys, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Siemens, VEGA, Yokogawa and many others.
