Fluke sponsors WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 vocational competition

WorldSkills is the largest skills competition in the world, driving global workforce excellence. Held bi-annually, WorldSkills brings together vocational students from 54 countries to compete in 45 skill areas, and draws more than 200,000 attendees.

June 28, 2013 - What if you could bring together more than 1,000 17-to-25-year-old vocational students from around the world to demonstrate their skills and compete head-to-head to be the best in the world? That's what WorldSkills is all about. And for the 8th time, Fluke Corp. is one of the sponsors of this global skills event. WorldSkills is the largest skills competition in the world, driving global workforce excellence. Held bi-annually, WorldSkills brings together vocational students from 54 countries to compete in 45 skill areas, and draws more than 200,000 attendees.

WorldSkills 2013 will be held July 2nd-7th at the famous Leipziger Messe trade fair grounds in Leipzig, Germany and will occupy 1.2 million square feet (110,000 sq. meters) of space. Fluke and/or its sister companies, Fluke Networks and Tektronix, will provide test tools to be used in eight skills categories: electrical installations, refrigeration and air conditioning, manufacturing team challenge, industrial control, electronics, aircraft maintenance, auto body repair, and information network cabling. Fluke is a founding Global Industry Partner with WorldSkills International, the governing body for the competition.
