October 30, 2008 - Form Automation Solutions (FAS) signed distribution agreements with InfoLink and Industrial Network Systems (INS), two major regional value-added resellers of factory automation solutions.INS has a strong market presence in the Midwest and will be the primary sales outlet to the industrial marketplace for FAS in the 11-state region, said Stephen Woram, founder and president of FAS. InfoLink is strong in the South Central United States and Mexico and will be the primary sales channel to the industrial marketplace for FAS in those areas, he said. Both companies represent GE Fanuc and other leading brands.AuditMatic replaces the traditional clipboard-and-pen data-gathering tools used by production workers who are not tethered to a computer at a fixed location.
AuditMatic software runs on hand-held computers and smart phones based on the Windows Mobile operating system. It is designed to provide mobile workers with contextual decision support and new data collection options such as photo and location capture while they perform their data collection rounds.Data collected using AuditMatic can be shared with HMI, DCS and other back-end systems to eliminate the costs, errors, and delays inherent in transcription of paper forms. First introduced in 2006, AuditMatic has been adopted by a wide range of manufacturing companies. “We are pleased to announce our alliance with FAS and believe that its AuditMatic data collection and reporting software will prove to be a key differentiator for our marketplace,” said Harry McCollum, INS President.
“We already have had interest from companies in a variety of Industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, utilities, discrete manufacturing and municipalities. “AuditMatic software along with INS's application expertise will allow us to provide our customers with a complete range of plant floor data collection systems both automated and manual. AuditMatic will also provide an additional means to get hard-to-collect manual data into our customers SAP ERP systems efficiently without doubling up on data entry. This saves money on labor and improves the accuracy and timeliness of the data being collected.”Larry Amy, president of InfoLink, said, “We have been selling software for monitoring, control and production analysis across industry verticals for many years now.
It is exciting to finally have a product like AuditMatic, which gives our customers the ability to collect information efficiently for monitoring and timely analysis in areas of production facilities which have been difficult or impossible to instrument for those purposes. “We believe that most, if not all, of our customers have areas within their organizations that can benefit from the data gathering and reporting functionality and efficiency that AuditMatic provides,” Amy added. Woram said the agreements with these two major value-added resellers will give a big boost to the FAS sales operation. “We are proud to be associated with INS and InfoLink,” Woram said.
“With solid sales teams and knowledgeable technical support engineers, INS and InfoLink are exactly the type of organizations best suited to offer the AuditMatic product. We look forward to a great relationship with each of these partners.” About Form Automation Solutions, Inc.
