May 4, 2012 - FSG introduces PK 609 Potentiometric transmitters, based on a high-resolution resistor element made from conductive plastic, printed on fiber-glass reinforced support material. Designed as ganged potentiometers (triple), they have a maximum active angle of 350°.

The intrinsically safe units are suitable for use in applications with explosive atmospheres. For adjustment of the measuring range, the potentiometers can be equipped with short-circuiting tracks, taps and function windings (e.g. according to a sine or cosine function over 360°).

With a housing diameter of merely 22 mm and a weight of 15 g, they can be easily integrated into machines and plants even if installation space is limited. Suitable for use at maximum temperatures of 120 °C, potentiometers from the PK 609 series reach a lifetime of 50 million wiper movements. The cost-efficient, low-maintenance units are highly precise and can be adapted for individual applications. In many fields, they therefore still provide an attractive alternative to wear-free but more costly digital components.
