May 9, 2007 - Garland Manufacturing now offers custom-machined chain guides and wear parts for both high-speed and heavy-load conveyor applications. Our new automated CNC shaping and profiling systems offer designers and engineers wider latitude in creating custom shapes in both smaller quantities and custom production runs. Garland also offers over 250 custom and stock extrusions which allow for continuous extruded guides and rails up to 300 feet in length. Garland is developing an adhesive system for UHMW bonding to aluminum, steel, or other uncoated surfaces, reducing or eliminating the need for conventional mechanical fasteners. Sample UHMW parts with or without adhesive are available for a nominal charge.
Our GARDUR brand of UHMW polyethylene meets or exceeds the ASTM specification for UHMW PE, ASTM D-4020-05. The molecular weight of our material is consistently 4.2 million or higher, and custom blends of UHMW are available for various applications, including silicones, lubricants, wax, and even Pantone Matching System capability for custom colors in custom profile extrusions.
