Belden acquired GarrettCom, a provider of industrial networking solutions for specialty and stressed applications, in December 2010.

January 24, 2012 — Belden announces that wholly-owned subsidiary GarrettCom is now a Belden associated product brand. Belden acquired Fremont, California-based GarrettCom,a provider of industrial networking solutions for specialty and stressed applications, in December 2010. "Making GarrettCom a Belden Brand further strengthens Belden's strategy of providing end-to-end connectivity from the sensor to the IT department," said Gary Wiegmann, President, Industrial Solutions Division, Belden Americas." With an integrated sales force, both GarrettCom and Belden sales channels will be able to provide broader and more integrated solutions to our customers."

As an associated product brand of Belden, GarrettCom becomes fully integrated into Belden's global organization with access to their industry-leading signal transmission portfolio. Becoming a Belden brand enhances GarrettCom's strong reputation with Belden's international recognition as a provider of premier quality solutions and support.
