April 21, 2016 - Grace introduces Safe-Test Point, a high impedance protected device that allows qualified personnel to perform a voltage test from outside the electrical enclosure.This process eliminates exposure to electrical arc flash and shock hazard.
Safe-Test Point is an engineering control that minimizes the risk of an electrical incident when used in conjunction with proper and approved safety procedures. Safe-Test Point will further enhance productivity while performing mechanical and electrical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) through closed doors. A more efficient "live-dead-live" test can be performed using the appropriate testing instrument, as mandated by OSHA for voltage above 50V and as required by the NFPA 70E, Article 110.4(A)(5).
Safe-Test Point was not only engineered to keep people safe and assets secure; it was also designed with quick and easy installation in mind. The resulting efficiency in verifying presence or absence of voltage means increased maintenance productivity and reduced equipment downtime.
