April 27, 2010 –Green Hills Software expanded support for its Platform for Wireless Devices. Built on the secure foundation of the INTEGRITY RTOS, this platform now includes wireless driver support for Atheros Communications AR6002-based 802.11a/b/g SDIO radio modules. Green Hills has also extended its partnership with Silex Technology to offer support and services for customers deploying Wi-Fi-enabled products based on the Atheros family of radio modules. The AR6002 is an extremely low power wireless LAN (WLAN) solution ideal for deployment in mobile, portable and handheld embedded products.
The AR6002 offers full-speed, hardware-based security with the WPA™, WPA2™ and 802.11i standards and supports the industry-standardized Wi-Fi Protected Set-Up. It is also optimized and validated for coexistence with any certified Bluetooth solutions available today.
