“Young Tech Enterprises” exhibition area offers presentation options for entrepreneurs and startups as well as startup networks, accelerators and economic development agencies.

December 8, 2015 - Entrepreneurs in the industrial sector are especially innovative and investment-friendly. They promote competition, create new business models and are a vital source of inspiration for traditional industrial companies. In order to further support these companies, HANNOVER MESSE 2016 (25 to 29 April) will feature the new exhibit sector “Young Tech Enterprises” where industrial entrepreneurs meet with funding institutions, cooperation partners, investors, and established big companies.

“Entrepreneurs from the industrial sector have participated in HANNOVER MESSE for years, but until now without an overarching concept. Because demand for startups in the R&D and manufacturing sectors is stronger than ever, we developed a hub that promotes and supports the startup scene at the fair and thus fulfills a need of industry,” says Marc Siemering, senior vice president of HANNOVER MESSE.

Located in Hall 3 at HANNOVER MESSE, “Young Tech Enterprises” features several elements. The exhibition area offers presentation options for entrepreneurs and startups as well as startup networks, accelerators and economic development agencies. A central forum provides comprehensive information about startups and new companies every day of the fair. Additional offers such as pitching events, matchmaking forums and workshops round out the program. All elements are designed to bring together entrepreneurs and startups with established companies.

“Innovation and speed are deciding success factors in industry. Young companies possess these qualities, but often they lack business experience, financing and strategy. ‘Young Tech Enterprises’ offers startups not only display area, but also tremendous networking opportunities and coaching on everything from staffing and choosing a business model to venture capital, patents and intellectual property protection,” says Siemering.

Participants at “Young Tech Enterprises” also benefit from proximity to the startups and business development organizations at the Research & Technology sector in Hall 2 as well as direct access to exhibitors and investors at Partner Country USA and Global Business & Markets, which are also in Hall 3. Deutsche Messe organizes and markets “Young Tech Enterprises” in partnership with the German Startups Association (BVDS) and the public relations agency factum GmbH.
