SCHAUMBURG, IL – (February 19, 2007) – Providing advanced capabilities to the already multi-functional iTNC 530 numeric control, HEIDENHAIN Corporation announces the availability of the new NC software that contains numerous new functions for machine manufacturers and users. With over a dozen new functions, the new capabilities provided promise to bring machining with an iTNC 530 to an even higher and simpler level than ever before. Two of the new functions include:
- AFC – Adaptive Feed Control (option) – This makes it possible to now adapt the contouring feed rate to the spindle performance, providing various advantages regarding machining quality, velocity and the permissible usage time of a tool.
- GPS – Global Program Settings (option) – This was introduced for tool and mold making.
It enables the user to enter data in a form, which are superimposed on the previous data during program run.
Various functions are available from swapping or mirroring axes to entering additional additive datum.Multiple other functions are possible too with this new HEIDENHAIN software such as additional conversational languages, a TNCguide in the Help system, further development of the smart.NC remote capabilities, improvement of Dynamic Collision Monitoring (DCM), and expansion of part programs, to name a few.HEIDENHAIN CORPORATION is the North American subsidiary of DR.
