The netTAP 50 features ten possible protocol conversions that include PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, CANopen, CC-Link, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU and ASCII.

March 9, 2011 - Hilscher North America Inc.introduces the netTAP 50 protocol converter. The new slim design was especially developed to reduce cost for price sensitive applications needing connectivity between two devices with distinct communication interfaces.

netTAP 50 supports conversions of 1-port Real-Time-Ethernet to Fieldbus to serial automation protocols and offers slave to slave and slave to master combinations. As a master, netTAP 50 provides full master functionality to a single slave. This enables an effortless integration of a single field device into any superordinate network. The netTAP 50 features ten possible protocol conversions that include PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, CANopen, CC-Link, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU and ASCII. The Ethernet port enables remote configuration and diagnostics from any location within a plant network.
