March 10, 2009 – Honeywell announced an online energy-savings estimator for economizer applications for energy-savings in buildings.

Economizer Savings Estimator

The Honeywell economizer savings tool helps contractors who want to show customers how making improvements to their buildings can save energy. The estimator uses weather data to calculate estimated savings for buildings around the globe. A report containing estimated energy savings and payback period is generated based on the information entered into the tool. The estimator incorporates the latest American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) energy and building standards and inputs for building types, global locations, current utility rates and local currency. It also includes a HVAC carbon footprint calculator that measures the impact of a building’s heating and cooling activities on the environment.

Honeywell International is a $37 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials. Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell's shares are traded on the New York, London and Chicago Stock Exchanges.
