Honeywell introduces FF series safety switches
FF Series Contactless Safety Switches use magnetic actuators to detect if a door or panel has been opened or removed in a piece of machinery.

MINNEAPOLIS, June 11, 2007 – Honeywell introduced its FF Series Contactless Safety Switches, designed to ensure machine safety in environments where contamination or misalignment may be an issue. FF Series Contactless Safety Switches use magnetic actuators to detect if a door or panel has been opened or removed in a piece of machinery. When the switch detects this condition, the machine’s action is stopped to ensure operational safety. This solution is flexible and less prone to misalignment than some standard contact safety switches.

The switches include a simple-to-implement coded actuator solution.Potential applications may include pick-and-place packaging or assembly equipment, semicon equipment, plastic molding equipment, woodworking machinery, textile machinery and printing machinery.Honeywell International is a $33 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials.

Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell's shares are traded on the New York, London and Chicago Stock Exchanges. It is one of the 30 stocks that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average and is also a component of the Standard & Poor's 500 Index.
