October 22, 2018 – Honeywell introduced the SmartLine Wireless Pressure Transmitter, which offers a solution for both pressure monitoring and control when combined with the company’s wireless network technology. The enhancement and evolution to the XYR 6000 wireless transmitter enables users to choose the wireless protocol best suited to their specific process automation applications.

With its multi-protocol-capable OneWireless Network infrastructure, Honeywell supports two industrial wireless protocols – ISA100 Wireless and WirelessHART – giving customers flexibility when implementing wireless systems. The SmartLine Wireless Pressure transmitter allows plants to use wireless for control, and integrates with Honeywell’s Experion control system.

Honeywell’s modern wireless solution is designed to be reliable, secure, scalable and interoperates with existing wireless installations to protect technology investments.

Honeywell designed its wireless system to allow customers to install a single network for process monitoring with the flexibility to add more critical applications, like control, if and when they are ready. Its single network allows customers currently utilizing XYR 6000 wireless transmitters to add SmartLine Wireless Pressure to these networks.
