Huffman appoints Jeff Austin as Operations Manager

In his new role, Austin will oversee a skilled team of engineers and technicians who develop and execute turnkey automation projects for manufacturing and utility customers.

July 12, 2016 – Huffman Engineering, Inc., a leader in control systems integration, today announced its recent hiring of retired Navy Captain, Jeff Austin, as the company’s Operations Manager. In his new role, Austin will oversee a skilled team of engineers and technicians who develop and execute turnkey automation projects for manufacturing and utility customers.

Prior to joining Huffman Engineering, Austin retired from serving three decades in the U.S. Navy, most recently as Deputy Director of Joint Exercises and Training at U.S. Strategic Command.

Before his service at U.S. Strategic Command, Austin was Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations at Carrier Strike Group Two/USS George H W Bush Strike Group where he was responsible for the operational planning, training, and employment of 22 subordinate ships and squadrons comprising 10,500 people and millions of dollars of assets in preparation for the Strike Group’s maiden deployment.
