ICP DAS Introduces tGW-715i Modbus to RTU Gateway
The tGW-715i allows a ModbusTCP host to communicate with Modbus RTU/ASCII devices through an Ethernet network.

April 9, 2015 - ICP DAS USA. introduces tGW-715i, a compact isolated Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ ASCII Gateway with Power over Ethernet option and 1 RS-422/RS-485 port. The tGW-715i allows a ModbusTCP host to communicate with Modbus RTU/ASCII devices through an Ethernet network. The module can help set up pair-connectionin serial-bridge/serial-tunnel applications, where it can route data over TCP/IPnetwork between two serial Modbus RTU/ ASCII devices; It is ideal for connecting mainframe computers, servers or other serial devices that communicate over Modbus RTU/ASCII protocols but do not have Ethernet capability. The tGW-715iis also din rail mountable and it supports a wide range of operating temperatures from -25°C to +75°C (-13°F ~ 167°F).

The tGW-715i Modbus TCP to RTU gateway features IEEE 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) option, allowing users to get access to power from a PoE switch such as NS-205PSE using a standard category 5 Ethernet cable. In case of absence of PoE switches on site, the module also supports power input from a DC adapter. With its ultra-low power consumption, the tGW-715i module is designed to reduce energy costs, especially when a large number of modules are installed.
