August 19, 2012 - IDEC releases SA1E-L Laser Sensor, for accurate and reliable sensing in applications requiring detection of fast moving objects, tiny objects, through narrow or limited spaces, or at a long distance. It has a miniature size and fast response time of 250 micro seconds A visible, red laser allows for easy optic axis alignment and precision mounting. A user can choose from through-beam, background suppression and polarized retro-reflective laser models. Through-beam models are capable of detecting objects up to 30 meters, while the polarized retro-reflective and background suppression models detect objects at up to 10 meters and 300mm respectively. These laser models also have a built-in mode to select Dark ON or Light ON operation.
Available models include 1 meter, 2 meter and 5 meter cables, or an M8 connector. The SA1E family offers seven different optical functions: through-beam, polarized retro-reflective, polarized retro-reflective for transparent objects, diffuse-reflective, small-beam reflective, convergent and background suppression. All SA1E sensors are IP67 rated (dust and water resistant), cULus and CE compliant.
