Oct. 26, 2018 – Indegy announced it has achieved “RSA Ready” interoperability certification with the RSA NetWitness Platform that enables organizations to bridge the current visibility gap between enterprise informaption technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) environments. The companies have completed testing which is intended to assure customers that both solutions can bidirectionally share information to detect, respond and mitigate security threats across their entire attack surface, including industrial control system (ICS) devices.
Industrial operations now span complex IT and OT infrastructures, which makes cybersecurity threats more difficult to detect, investigate and remediate. Meanwhile, the focal point for attacks on OT networks has centered on the industrial controllers that manage processes in manufacturing, energy, power and water facilities. Introduced in 2016, Indegy’s Device Integrity actively and safely detects and monitors all ICS devices in the network to identify changes made to operating systems and software, firmware and configurations, all the way down to ladder logic.
Indegy provides situational awareness and real-time security for industrial control networks to ensure operational continuity and reliability. The Indegy Industrial Cyber Security Suite delivers visibility and oversight into all OT activities, whether they are performed over the network, or directly on a device or industrial controller. These include changes to controller logic, configuration and state across all vendor devices, network communication patterns, rouge devices, malware propagation, and more. This is accomplished with Indegy’s Deep Packet Inspection engine of proprietary control communications, and Device Integrity technology that is able to query devices safely to validated their firmware/OS, code/software and configurations.
