May 7, 2012-- infoteam Functional Safety Management Process (iFSM) is now officially certified by TÜV SÜD according to IEC 61508:2010. The development of software based on Functional Safety Management criteria requires more than just version control, code editors and compilers. A chain of tightly integrated tools and a process tailored to the safety life cycle are essential prerequisites for efficient development work in safety projects. More efficient software development with the help of a flexible process guideline The iFSM process is a process model that can be adapted to the individual needs of a project.

Not every project requires the same process, e.g. depending on the SIL level required. With the use of the iFSM Functional Safety Management based on the ALM system "Microsoft TEam Foundation Server", safety projects are managed according to the safety standard 61508:2010. Thus efficient and straight forward development will be increased significantly.

Also it reduces development risks considerably. Processes are employed without being the primary focus. The integration of all safety relevant information into a central database and the use of tightly coupled tolls is avoiding gaps in the information chain and redundant maintenance of data.
