Berlin, 16 April 2007 – At this year’s Hannover Messe, Innominate presents functions that significantly increase system stability and availability for production plants. The enhanced modem interface is particularly important for secure remote access in teleservice applications and will be featured at the Innominate stand in the Digital Factory, hall 17, stand B54.
Redundancy function via modem
The new expanded modem support of the mGuard appliances now also enables outgoing dial-up connections and VPNs (virtual private networks) via the serial interface. “This opens up interesting fallback and fail-over solutions for Internet teleservice in the case of disturbances to the Ethernet-based network connection," says Torsten Rössel, Director Business Development at Innominate. "Even if Internet access is unavailable, important production resources remain securely accessible."
