October 20, 2009 - Integration Objects released a free, plug and play solution for testing OPC Client applications: OPC Server Simulators. This tool allows users to test any third party OPC Client application using simulated data and messages. OPC Server Simulators includes both an OPC DA/HDA (Data Access/Historical Data Access) server and an OPC A&E (Alarms&Events) server simulator, giving end-users, developers and integrators the ability to conduct tests on simulated real-time data, alarms and events, as well as on simulated historical raw and processed data.
“Using this new, free test tool, OPC developers and integrators can quickly test their OPC client applications without disturbing their control process systems or any ongoing site activities,” said Fulvio Roveta, Integration Objects’ European Director, “Our OPC Server Simulators were developed using our server toolkits [OPC Server SDK and OPC Server AE SDK] so these simulators will give our customers a very good idea what to expect when using our development tools.”
