June 21, 2011 - Intelligrated announces sorter control functionality for the InControlWare Warehouse Control System (WCS). Providing an alternative to standalone sortation software, the InControlWare WCS now fully integrates control for IntelliSort tilt-tray and cross-belt sorters to ensure optimized material flow, efficient order fulfillment, streamlined communication and complete facility control and visibility. InControlWare WCS extends the traditional capability of tilt-tray and cross-belt sortation software to coordinate inbound and outbound material flow as well as induction, chute and packout operations.
Through enhanced coordination of material flow processes, order fulfillment activities, workload balancing and routing directives provided by the InControlWare WCS, tilt-tray and cross-belt sortation systems can achieve greater system utilization and productivity. Through the InControlWare WCS, operations can also take advantage of the available Order Manager and Route Manager software packages. These packages allow simultaneous coordination of people, processes and product flow for increased productivity, order accuracy and on-time shipments. Access to InControlWare maintenance tools, including parts information, user manuals, testing of components and chutes, mechanical checks and I/O debugging, are also available.
