ISA appoints Shari Worthington Director-Elect of Management Division

ISA appointed Shari L.S. Worthington as Director-Elect of the Management Division. She will serve in this role through the end of 2007, supporting members who are involved in management as it relates to instrumentation, systems, and automation assets, such as marketing and sales, supply chain management, industry standards, education and training, project management, and personnel management.

Worcester, MA (August 7, 2006) - ISA (Instrumentation, Systems & Automation Society) announced the appointment of Shari L.S. Worthington as Director-Elect of the Management Division. She will serve in this role through the end of 2007, supporting members who are involved in management as it relates to instrumentation, systems, and automation assets, such as marketing and sales, supply chain management, industry standards, education and training, project management, and personnel management. In 2008, she will assume the role of Director, Management Division.

Previously, Shari held the position of Marketing & Sales Chair, Management Division and serves as Program Chair for ISA's 1st Annual Marketing & Sales Summit (September 13-15, 2006, Austin, Texas, www.isa.org/mktsales A scientist turned engineer turned marketer, Worthington's specialty is real-time computing in laboratory and manufacturing applications. Previously a product manager in the high tech industry, she is President of Telesian Technology Inc., a marketing and web services firm founded in 1987 that focuses on the high tech and manufacturing markets.

Clients include start-ups as well as Fortune 500 corporations, including Raytheon, Apple Computer, Intel, and Akibia. Shari is an international lecturer on the topics of guerilla marketing, e-business, and e-marketing. Recently, she co-authored the book, e-Business in Manufacturing: Putting the Internet to Work in the Industrial Enterprise (ISA Press). She is a member of the WPI Venture Forum Board of Directors, is a Business Counselor for the Center for Women in Enterprise, and lectures at Boston College and Clark University. Shari holds an MBA in Marketing from Babson College, an MA in Psychology from Framingham State College, and a BS in Biology and Psychology from St.

Lawrence University.
