At the Embedded World 2005, IXXAT will present its new CAN interface board series, consisting of a PCI board, a USB interface and a PCMCIA board. The boards are equipped with a high-speed and a low-/high-speed bus interface which can be switched over via software, specially designed for use in the automotive sector. All boards have a 16 bit microcontroller system, which ensures loss-free processing and storing of CAN messages even with high bus loads. In addition to mobile service and analysis applications, the boards can therefore also be used in demanding control and testing applications in the automotive and industrial sector. The CAN driver VCI included in the scope of supply enables simple creation of own applications under Windows 2000/XP and the use of IXXAT analysis tools.

The VCI driver supports all interface boards supplied by IXXAT with a uniform application interface, by means of which it is possible to change to another interface board types or to integrate future boards without additional programming. The iPC-I XC16/PCI, the USB-to-CAN II and the tinCAN161 have two independent CAN channels and therefore allow simultaneous multi-channel analysis, e.g. with the canAnalyser. As an option, both the PCI board and the USB module can be galvanically isolated.

Isolation is included as standard with the PCMCIA board. Further information on the boards can be obtained at www.ixxat.de .
