With the new USB-to-CAN II, IXXAT offers a universal, mobile CAN interface for industrial and automotive applications. The 2-channel interface is available as an industrial version with two high-speed CAN channels and as an automotive version with one high-speed and one high-/low-speed CAN channel switchable via driver software. The CAN controller used is the SJA1000 chip from Philips. Both CAN channels can be galvanically isolated on request. The two CAN connections have an RJ45 socket.

Adapters from RJ45 to Sub-D9 are supplied with the design. With its powerful 16-bit microcontroller system and sufficient memory, the interface enables received messages to be filtered, pre-processed and saved. Transmit and receive processes can be carried out loss-free even with a high transmission rate and bus load. The VCI driver from IXXAT, for the development of customer-specific programs under Windows 2000/XP, is included in the scope of supply. The optional canAnalyser turns the USB-to-CAN II into a powerful, mobile analysis and development tool.

In addition, IXXAT also offers a CANopen driver for the interface (CANopen Master API), which allows the simple implementation of customer-specific PC-supported CANopen master applications.Further information on USB-to-CAN II is available on the Internet at www.ixxat.de .
