April 11, 2010 - Jacobs Automation released its PackTrak PT200 Catalog. The PT200 is the next generation in PackTrak technology. In addition to PackTrak's high speed and the flexibility to individually control a mechanical tool or end effector, the PT200 includes:

  • IP65- The PT200 has a washdown rating of IP65 with a virtual elimination of crevices and cavities commonly found in conventional machines.
  • Vertically Mounted Coils- Energized coils create motion for the movers and are now mounted vertically, which allows for 25% less mover mass with improved accelerations and following error.
  • Movers- Improved rail system and guide bearings.

About PackTrak:

Packtrak saves money and reduces energy consumption by transforming today’s hardware laden automation machinery into software-based, highly flexible digital machinery. Using Maglev technology (propelling objects using magnetic fields), Packtrak will eliminate a significant amount of hardware, the root cause for downtime, inflexibility and maintenance in a machine. PackTrak, provides independent, software control of multiple movers on a track with minimal hardware components. This capability provides for increased flexibility and speed for the movement of CPG product in packaging, converting and material handling processes, that will save CPG companies millions of dollars a year in costs.

About Jacobs Automation:
