Dec. 15, 2021 - Jörg Kipper, managing director of Festo Vertrieb GmbH & Co. KG, has been appointed as the new chairman of the VDMA Integrated Assembly Solutions (VDMA IAS) sector group. He succeeds Johannes Linden of PIA Holding GmbH, who resigned from the board of VDMA IAS in conformance with association statutory requirements. Mr Linden’s successor Thomas Ernst, new CEO of PIA Holding GmbH, was appointed to the IAS board.

The board of VDMA Integrated Assembly Solutions would like to thank Johannes Linden for his active engagement in the last years and is looking forward to a fruitful and successful cooperation with Thomas Ernst. Jörg Kipper is looking forward to taking up the role as the new chairman of IAS and thanks the board for the trust placed in him: "Integrated Assembly Solutions makes a decisive contribution to competitive production in Germany and Europe. Through a high degree of automation in assembly and handling, we can tackle the demographic change in the next decade. To this end, it is crucial that the industry focuses on seizing the opportunities offered by digitization. In this context, the VDMA must create important framework conditions to ensure successful implementation.

As the new Chairman of VDMA Integrated Assembly Solutions, I would like to actively support this development," says Jörg Kipper. Do you have any further questions? Etienne Axmann, VDMA Integrated Assembly Solutions, Phone 069 6603 1530, [email protected] , will be happy to answer them.
