KROHNE Presents AF-E 400 Electromagnetic Flowmeter for Utility Applications and Industrial Automation
Best-in-class accuracy in every flow range, with exceptional resiliency and installation flexibility.

KROHNE , a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of solutions in industrial process instrumentation, announces the AF-E 400 electromagnetic flowmeter for utility applications and industrial automation, an ideal choice for applications with conductive liquids in tight spaces, such as cooling lines of welding equipment, bending machines and robots, or chemical dosing skids. The AF-E 400 features best-in-class accuracy in every flow range, allowing optimal processing in automation. The round bore reduction of the sensor makes the flowmeter more resilient in terms of increased pressure, ensuring high accuracy over a wide pressure and temperature range.

Capable of continuous use at +90°C/+194°F liquid temperature, the AF-E 400 is engineered for the most demanding cooling and hot water applications. The AF-E 400 guarantees maximum flexibility when it comes to installation. Due to the special design of the magnetic circuit, field strength and electronics, these mag meters can be positioned in extreme proximity to one another (as close as 2 mm / 0.08") and can be mounted in parallel without any risk of signal interference. This electromagnetic flowmeter also offers various output and communication options.

The AF-E 400 features an IO-Link and a Modbus option to provide operators with application and process data for smarter factory automation, faster sensor installation or maintenance. The integrated temperature measurement eliminates the need for an additional sensor, while the self-monitoring AF-E 400, with NAMUR NE 107 diagnostics, ensures reliable operations.
