September 24, 2009 - Lanner Electronics announced the LEC-7900, an ultra compact Intel Socket P embedded system designed for high definition video applications. Utilizing the power of NVIDIA’s GeForce 9 Series GPU, the LEC-7900 delivers fluid video playback to dual displays without the need for an additional graphics card.At the core of the platform is an NVIDIA MCP79 chipset solution and Core 2 Duo Processor. The MCP79 from NVIDIA delivers stunning graphics performance capable of powering two Full HD displays with low power consumption and minimal CPU overhead. Equipped to handle both standard and high definition video the LEC-7900 comes with two VGA ports as well as 1 HDMI port.
Other connections included are USB 2.0 (x4), LAN, Stereo Line Out and a two RS-232 COM ports. The LEC-7900 supports one Intel Core 2 Duo or Celeron M processor (socket P) and up to 4GB of dual channel memory.
It includes one 2.5” drive bay which can be either be connected via SATA or used with a SSD drive.Lanner’s more than 20 years of industrial computer design experience gives the LEC-7900 a number of advantages over the competition in terms of stability and longevity. Meticulous electrical design at the board level ensures the LEC-7900 will last years longer than comparable products, and the innovative mechanical design eliminates most moving parts and disperses heat away from the components to ensure reliable operation in harsh conditions. "The Lanner LEC-7900 crams an extremely powerful graphics core into a SFF box PC,” said Eric Chiu, Associate Vice President of Embedded Computers.
“Additionally, its ruggedized electrical and mechanical design ensures stable operation in harsh conditions, and its low power consumption and small size make it a perfect platform for digital signage content delivery system, from airports to malls to railway stations.”
